We present to you the straw that broke our citrus kick’s back: Pink Lemonade Cupcakes. Seemingly sweet and innocuous, these cupcakes are frankly a bit of a tart.
The recipe is really straight-forward and easy to utilize. Our only major substitution was with the brand of pink lemonade powder mix we used. The recipe suggests Country Time but we decided to be bigshots and use Hy-Vee instead and for the record it definitely affected the outcome. Our cupcakes came out suuuuuuuuuuuper tart, like so tart you’d only want to eat one which is kind of a travesty because they look so great.
Deliciousity: almost too good to have more than one!
Final verdict: Love it but will definitely cut down on the amount of pink lemonade powder mix next time so that it isn’t quite so tart.
